25th March 2010

Well, it's been a long time since the website has been updated. Sorry to everyone, but at least I have some news to write about now.

Finally on the weekend we had our first proper race for the year. With the first three rounds of the sunshine state series being cancelled due to all the wet weather we've been having, Hervey Bay was the first full weekend of racing for the series. The deep sand claimed a lot of riders and the track turned very rough throughout the day. It was good to get a weekend of racing done and to finnish strong on both bikes with 3rd overall in the Pro Open and Pro Lites classes it feels good that all the training and practice is paying off.

Coming up next weekend the 28th of March is the first round of the National Motocross Titles in Horsham Victoria. Keep a look out for results and a race report after the weekend.

Not much other news for now. My Wife and I (got married last September) now have two little pups that keep us on our toes at home and cause plenty of mischief. Also if you check out the pics, you will see a first turn crash I was in at the very start of the year down in Adelaide at a Stadium Motocross. It was a bit of a slow start to the year after the crash with having to have a week or so off the bike to recover from bruising and muscle damage from landing on cement.

Thanks for checking in and stay tuned.

Crusty Touring

Well, it turned out the same week I got back on my bike I pretty much legged it to New Zealand for the Crusty Tour over here. It's now the 5th week and we still have 2 more to go, with another 3 shows. At the moment we are in Rotorua hanging out for a few days in between Hamilton and Auckland show. Apart from the first week between Napier and Wellington shows, it's the first week that we haven't had a Wednesday night show. Doing two shows a week has been pretty hectic, with shows, after parties, then driving or flying to the next place, to turn around and do rehearsals again and then another show! But it's kinda good because there's not too much sitting around and we get plenty of bike time, which is what I need right now just coming back from injury.

We've done 6 shows now. Just a quick run down on it all. Cam Sinclair has been the highlight of the show I think. He landed 5 out of the 6 backflips so far! And the only reason he crashed on the last one was because of the dew on the mats after landing. Hat off to him, it's an incredible trick to watch and every time I still get nervous for him before he does it.

Everyone on tour is riding super good. Mike Mason and Adam Jones from America have got to be two of the most professional riders I've seen yet. For myself, it's been a blast so far. I miss my girl Mon, but she gets to come over in two days time and hang out for the week so that'll be cool! It's just great to be back on the bike but and the ankles are holding up good so far.

Before Christchurch show we all had a reminder of how dangerous our sport can be, with the passing of Jeremy Lusk. It was really hard for his good mates to ride our show, but all the boys put their helmets on and rode like champions. I'd just like to say R.I.P. Jeremy, and to his family I send my best wishes at this very hard time.

The shows so far have been Napier, Wellington, Invercargill, Dunedin, Christchurch and Hamilton. Next we head to Auckland and then finish the tour with New Plymouth and Nelson. Every week there's crowds of between 5 to 7 thousand and the last one being the biggest was 11000. It's got to be one of the best FMX shows in the world and the best crowds to ride in front of, so make sure you get your tickets for the upcoming Capital City Tour in Australia later in May and June.

I've attached some photos from here hanging out and also a couple from the shows. I hope you enjoy them and keep it real until next time!

Back on the Bike!

Hey everyone... Happy New year and I hope you all have a successful 2009!

Thought I better give you all a bit of an update with what's been going on. I got a phone call last Tuesday for the New Zealand Crusty Tour. So I will be leaving this Thursday to go on tour for 5 weeks and 9 shows. Thanks to everyone at YAMAHA for organising and supplying me a bike over there!

Also, last Friday I picked up some new race bikes. Thanks to Northstar Yamaha, by the time I get back from NZ I will be ready to go for round 3 of the Sunshine State series at Hervey Bay. I had my first ride on a bike yesterday and the new 450 goes awesome straight out of the box! So a bit of tweaking with the suspension and I should be ready for the rough sand track at Hervey.

On a last note I'd just like to say Happy Birthday again for last week to Jacob and enjoy that brand new YZ 85! Hope you had a fun days riding out at MGMX mate!

18th December 2008

Gʼday everyone, I hope youʼre enjoying my new website. I better fill you in with some news with whatʼs been happening. As some of you may have heard, I crashed at the first round of Super X in October at Perth. I sustained two broken TALUS bones in my ankles from the crash. It has been a slow healing process, but after nearly 10 weeks I am back walking(limping) and shouldnʼt be too far off swinging a leg back over the bike.

Apart from the bad boring news, itʼs nearly christmas and a lot of things have been
happening which should make for a fresh, exciting start to the new year. Our very first
house is looking great and we should be moved in by early new year. THANKS TO
PARAMOUNT CONSTRUCTIONS!! If anyone in my area (Ipswich, Brisbane) is looking at building a home, I can guarantee you these are the guys to see...

Although there isnʼt much on at the moment in regards to races and events. I have opened my motocross track for practice two days a week here on my parents property. Itʼs like the bikes havenʼt been quiet at all for me! Even though I was in a wheel chair for 6 weeks, it didnʼt stop me from sitting on the quad bike and watching everyone else ride my track!

You can check out full details of my track by clicking on the MGMX (Mount Glorious Motocross Track) banner on the main screen of the website! Thanks all for checking in, have a great christmas and a happy new year!
